"You...how come you're here?" Gu Chuyi's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at Luo Wei.

Luo Wei was equally surprised, her gaze meeting Gu Chuyi's. They had gone in opposite directions when they parted ways—how had Gu Chuyi ended up here?

It dawned on Gu Chuyi that the Supreme Mansion was quite close to the shopping mall. She remembered that her brother, Gu Xiu, had accidentally left his car keys at Mo Huai's house. As a result, she had been driving Gu Xiu to work at the hospital each morning before heading to her own job, cutting into her time to sleep in.

Every time Gu Chuyi urged Gu Xiu to retrieve his car keys, he made excuses, as if he wanted her to keep driving him around. The thought made Gu Chuyi grit her teeth in frustration.

She decided to stop by the Supreme Mansion on her way, thinking she might get lucky and find Mo Huai, who usually lived there alone during the weekdays. But instead of Mo Huai, Luo Wei opened the door. When did they start living together? As these thoughts raced through her mind, Gu Chuyi scratched her head in confusion.

The two stood in silence for a moment.

"Chuyi, come in," Luo Wei said, regaining her composure. She stepped aside, gesturing for Gu Chuyi to enter.

Gu Chuyi walked in slowly and sat down on the sofa, still processing the unexpected situation. Seeing that Gu Chuyi hadn't reacted yet, Luo Wei went into the kitchen, poured a cup of lemon tea, and placed it in front of her.

Taking a deep breath, Luo Wei began to explain everything, recounting the events from the beginning to the end. Gu Chuyi listened quietly, her brows furrowed, eyes fixed on Luo Wei.

As Luo Wei finished her story, Gu Chuyi finally understood the situation.
"Chuyi. I'm sorry; I didn't mean to lie to you. I just didn't want you to worry," Luo Wei said, lowering her eyelids in apology.

"Okay," Gu Chuyi replied, needing time to process what she'd just learned. As she sorted through the story, she realized that Luo Wei had accidentally gone into the wrong room during a one-night stand, which led to her encounter with Mo Huai. Now, Luo Wei was pregnant.

Seeing that Gu Chuyi seemed distant, Luo Wei gently pushed her and asked, "Are you okay, Chuyi?"

Gu Chuyi snapped out of her thoughts and suddenly grinned, making Luo Wei feel nervous.

"Weiwei, you've been through so much, and you didn't tell me. I noticed you didn't tell Sister Xinxin either," Gu Chuyi said, narrowing her eyes playfully.

"No..." Luo Wei replied softly, "I will confess to Sister Xinxin myself."

Luo Wei shifted the conversation and asked, "You aren't really mad at me, are you?"

Gu Chuyi remained silent for a moment, then pretended to be upset. "Of course I'm angry."

Hearing this, Luo Wei felt dejected and wondered how to make amends. She cherished her two close friends, Gu Chuyi and Su Yuxin, and didn't want to lose either of them.

Seeing Luo Wei's downcast expression, Gu Chuyi suddenly burst into laughter. "You're so gullible! Of course, I'm not angry."

Luo Wei's frown slowly faded, and a small smile appeared on her lips.

"I can't believe I was so clueless," Gu Chuyi said with a sheepish grin. "I was trying to set you up with my brother, not knowing you and Mo Huai were already married. But I'm glad to see you're happy."
Neither of the two people talking in the living room noticed the door opening. Mo Huai entered, carrying his black suit jacket over his arm. His stride was purposeful, and when he saw Gu Chuyi sitting on the sofa, he paused, narrowing his eyes slightly.

The sound of footsteps made Luo Wei and Gu Chuyi look up simultaneously.

"You're back," Luo Wei greeted sweetly.

"Yes," Mo Huai replied, his gaze shifting to Gu Chuyi.

Luo Wei noticed Mo Huai's focus on Gu Chuyi and quickly explained, "I've already told Chuyi about our relationship, including the fact that I'm pregnant."

Unfazed by Mo Huai's intense stare, Gu Chuyi casually picked up an apple from the table and began eating it.

"Why are you here?" Mo Huai asked, his voice calm yet resonant.

Gu Chuyi, feigning anger, joked, "If I hadn't come, how would I have found out you were keeping secrets from me? My brother must have known about this all along. He's dead to me now for lying to his sister."

Gu Chuyi walked up to Mo Huai and stared at him intently. "Weiwei said you were also drunk and had a one-night stand?" she asked, her tone filled with suspicion.

Mo Huai, who rarely drank to the point of intoxication despite frequent social events, seemed unlikely to have been genuinely drunk. His alcohol tolerance was well-known to be better than hers or Gu Xiu's. Gu Chuyi couldn't help but click her tongue twice, skeptical of the excuse.

Rising on tiptoe, she leaned in close to Mo Huai's ear and whispered, "You might fool Weiwei, but you can't fool me. You were sober and fully aware when you decided to take advantage of her."

Mo Huai met her gaze, a faint smile playing on his lips, seemingly unbothered by her accusation. "We've obtained our marriage certificate now," he stated clearly, emphasizing each word. "She is my Mrs. Mo." He left no room for further questioning, his tone final and authoritative.

Mo Huai walked over to Luo Wei and asked softly, "Did you enjoy shopping today?"

"I did. I was very happy," Luo Wei responded with a smile and a nod.

Mo Huai's eyes softened as he looked at her, exuding the aura of a devoted husband. Meanwhile, Gu Chuyi watched the scene unfold with a mix of amusement and exasperation, feeling like an intruder in their affectionate moment.

"Why am I here being force fed dogfood?" Gu Chuyi muttered, picking up the key from the table. "I'll leave you two alone. No need for me to stick around." Her words were laced with playful jealousy.

Luo Wei, sensing the need to see her friend off, gently pushed Mo Huai aside, causing him to frown slightly. "I'll walk you out," she offered.

After saying goodbye to Gu Chuyi at the door, Luo Wei returned inside, only to find Mo Huai watching her with a playful glint in his eyes.

Luo Wei curled her fingers, unsure of the situation, and asked, "What's wrong?"

Mo Huai looked at her with his deep, shimmering eyes, his voice carrying a magnetic charm. "When will you come back with me to the old house to meet my parents?"

The question caught Luo Wei off guard. She had mentioned meeting Mo's mother casually over the phone, never expecting Mo Huai to take it seriously and plan for her to meet his parents. Knowing that the Mo family was a wealthy family with strict traditions, Luo Wei felt anxious about potentially not meeting their expectations.

She fell silent and lowered her gaze, lost in thought. Sensing her discomfort, Mo Huai gently pulled her into his arms. From above her, his deep voice reassured her, "I'm sorry if I rushed you. Let me know when you're ready, and we'll go."

Mo Huai gently stroked the back of Luo Wei's head with his large hand, comforting her softly. Luo Wei's body trembled slightly as a wave of warmth filled her heart. She couldn't help but marvel at how fortunate she was to have someone like Mo Huai, even if their marriage was initially a contract. Despite its nature, she found herself wanting to hold on to the feeling.

Her hands, which had been hanging at her sides, slowly moved to respond to his embrace. She wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, inhaling the soothing scent of sandalwood that clung to him. Mo Huai noticed her initiative and a subtle, pleased smile played on his lips. He thought to himself that the title of Mrs. Mo undoubtedly belonged to this girl.
