Mo Huai's last WeChat message was from three years ago, congratulating the Mo Group on its significant achievements and wishing for further success. Now, suddenly, Young Master Mo posted on his Moments, showing off his affection, which was unheard of. Business partners in his circle of friends quickly responded with messages of praise and congratulations.
Mr. Li commented, "Mr. Mo, congratulations. Wishing you a happy love life and a speedy marriage." President Chen added, "It must be a great honor to be President Mo’s woman. I wish you happiness every day!" Mr. Huang exclaimed, "Wow, when did Mr. Mo get a girlfriend? Congratulations, you really kept it a secret."
Gu Xiu commented humorously, "You can't be so cruel to me. It's fine if you show off in real life, but I have to see you flaunting your affection when I check my Moments? Help me..."
Fu Chen chimed in, teasingly, "Cousin, when will you cook a bowl of noodles for your beloved cousin?"
Gu Xiu playfully replied to Fu Chen with a tongue-sticking emoticon, "Go away, you don't deserve it."
Gu Chuyi added her own comment, "Young Master Mo has come to his senses and knows how to show affection. He's a teachable boy, not bad, not bad."
Fu Chen replied to Gu Chuyi, "Hugs to those of us who are single!"
Gu Chuyi retorted, "Get out of my way."
...
Mo Huai glanced at the playful interactions on WeChat Moments and smiled, choosing not to reply. He placed his phone on the bedside table and turned to hug Luo Wei, drifting off to sleep together.
The next morning, the soft morning light filtered through the window. Luo Wei woke up first, noticing that Mo Huai was still sleeping. She quietly picked up her phone to check the entertainment news, deciding to let him rest a bit longer, knowing he must be tired from taking care of her the previous night.
Luo Wei sat on the bed, scrolling through her WeChat Moments out of boredom. Suddenly, she paused, surprised to see a post from Mo Huai. He had shared a photo of the noodles he cooked the previous night, accompanied by the caption, "Cook a bowl of noodles for the girl you love."
Curious and slightly disbelieving, Luo Wei glanced at the still-sleeping Mo Huai. Did he mean her? It was the first time she had been referred to in such a way by a man, and the realization made her blush, her face feeling warm like cooked shrimp. The playful comments from Gu Xiu, Fu Chen, and Gu Chuyi under the post only added to her embarrassment and surprise.
Luo Wei was puzzled by the playful comments in the WeChat Moments, which seemed to suggest they were showing affection, but it didn't feel that way to her. Just then, Gu Chuyi's message popped up. Luo Wei quickly exited the Moments and opened their chat.
Gu Chuyi: [Hello, are you awake?]
Luo Wei: [I'm awake.]
Gu Chuyi: [What are you doing?]
Luo Wei: [On the bed.]
After a brief pause, Gu Chuyi replied with a teasing question: [Alone?] accompanied by a mischievous smiley face.
Luo Wei turned her head to glance at the man who was still sleeping, thought for a few seconds and replied, [No.]
Gu Chuyi tapped his fingers quickly and replied almost instantly.
[Fuck, what did you guys do last night? Mo Huai didn’t abuse you, did he? After all, He was single for 28 years before I met you.]
Before Luo Wei understood what was going on, Gu Chuyi continued to send messages.
[A moment of spring night is worth a thousand gold, you guys are so naughty, hehe...] Gu Chuyi joked.
Luo Wei looked at it for a while before she realized that Gu Chuyi had something else in mind.
Luo Wei was embarrassed.
Before Luo Wei could respond to Gu Chuyi's teasing message, a deep, hoarse voice came from behind her, startling her. "What does my being single for 28 years have to do with whether I abused you?"
Luo Wei quickly turned off her phone's screen and spun around to see Mo Huai standing there with a sly smile. Embarrassed, she awkwardly touched her nose and asked, "Did you see it?"
She hoped he might pretend not to have seen the conversation, sparing her some embarrassment. But Mo Huai's next words left her stunned, unable to find a response.
Mo Huai's teasing smile widened as he watched Luo Wei's face flush with embarrassment. "Hmm," he said slowly, feigning curiosity. "Did anything happen between us last night?"
Luo Wei's face turned crimson, and she avoided his gaze, mumbling, "Nothing happened." She tried to get up, but Mo Huai suddenly pulled her into his arms. Startled, Luo Wei let out a small scream, her heart racing as she looked up at him. His clear jawline and the fresh scent of him overwhelmed her senses, leaving her flustered.
With a devilish grin, Mo Huai leaned in closer, his voice low and seductive, "It's not too late for something to happen now."
Luo Wei's panic intensified, her palms growing sweaty as she struggled to find words, her mind momentarily blank.
"I..." Luo Wei stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Mo Huai's gaze seemed to pierce through her, and Luo Wei's long eyelashes fluttered with nervousness.
Suddenly, Mo Huai leaned in and gently kissed the corner of her mouth, a triumphant smile spreading across his face. "Get up," he said playfully.
Luo Wei was lifted effortlessly by Mo Huai, and she realized with a mix of relief and embarrassment that he had been teasing her.
Given her pregnancy, any rash actions were out of the question. Right now, the priority was to protect the baby. Since that night, their interactions had been limited to gentle kisses, and Luo Wei found herself still shy about anything more intimate.

In the office of the president of Chi Group, Chi Yu sat at his desk with a contemplative expression. His eyes were fixed on his mobile phone, which he held absently in his hand.
After a moment's hesitation, he navigated through his address book, his thumb sliding down to find Luo Wei's contact. He lingered on her name, then, with a mix of frustration and resolve, he dialed the number.
The phone rang, but the response was immediate: "The number you dialed is currently busy. Please call again later."
Chi Yu's face darkened with anger as he clenched his fists. He felt a surge of irritation knowing that she had him blocked. The thought of her stubbornness fueled his frustration. He pondered how long she would continue to be so willful and how this situation was driving him to the brink of madness.
Chi Yu couldn't believe that she could let go of him so easily. She had liked him for over a decade; surely she wouldn't just move on without a struggle. He reassured himself with this thought, finding some solace in the idea.
As he mulled over his frustrations, his assistant knocked and entered the office. "Boss Chi, please review the arrangements for next week," the assistant said, trying to gauge the mood.
The assistant took note of Chi Yu's dark expression, which signaled his foul mood. With a deep breath, he hoped that Mr. Chi wouldn't take out his frustrations on him. Over the past three months, Chi Yu's temper had become increasingly unpredictable.
"Just follow this," Chi Yu said curtly, glancing briefly at the document.
Relieved that there were no objections, the assistant quickly collected the document and added with a forced smile, "Okay, Mr. Chi. I'll leave if there's nothing else."
Chi Yu merely nodded, his expression remaining impassive.
The assistant quickly left the office, leaving Chi Yu alone in the large, dimly lit room. His eyes were dark and intense as he brooded over his thoughts.
He picked up his phone and sent a WeChat message to Chi Ye: Where is Luo Wei now?
At the same time, Chi Ye, who was working late, heard the WeChat notification tone and glanced at his phone, hoping it was a message from someone important. When he opened WeChat, Chi Yu's message was the first one, marked with an unread little red dot.
Chi Ye’s face darkened as he saw the message. His frustration was palpable. How dare Chi Yu inquire about Luo Wei’s whereabouts?
With a scowl, Chi Ye clicked on Chi Yu’s message, read it, and then promptly blocked him. His anger flared. How could Chi Yu have the audacity to ask about Luo Wei?
