Chi Ye was stunned and moved his lips, saying, "No, no, Sister Weiwei, you drink it. This is specially made for you by brother-in-law."

Chi Ye glanced at Mo Huai and quickly lowered his head, avoiding eye contact.

Luo Wei looked at Mo Huai and smiled, "Then I won't be polite."

Luo Wei took a small sip of the strawberry milkshake, and a smile spread across her face.

Mo Huai's face remained calm, but internally, he was upset. How could the girl give the milkshake he had made with his own hands to another man?

Mo Huai's lips pressed into a thin line, feeling frustrated.

Luo Wei enjoyed the milkshake, feeling warm inside. Her needs were always met by the man, and waves of emotion stirred within her.

Luo Wei continued watching anime with Chi Ye in the living room, both laughing and having a great time.

Mo Huai, who disliked anime, sat silently on the sofa, occasionally glancing at a magazine or at Luo Wei.

As Luo Wei was engrossed in the show, Mo Huai put a coat on her and said with concern, "It's getting chilly at night. Wear a coat."

Luo Wei put on the coat without even looking at Mo Huai, causing his expression to darken significantly.

Luo Wei turned to Chi Ye and discussed the plot, "Xiao Ye, guess who the culprit is in this episode?"

Chi Ye shook his head and after a few seconds of thought said, "Could it be the chef?"

Luo Wei nodded in agreement, "You’re right. It’s him."

...

Unable to tolerate the interaction between the two, Mo Huai quietly retreated to his room.

Luo Wei yawned, feeling sleepy. She turned to Chi Ye and said, "I’m tired. Let’s watch the rest tomorrow."

As Luo Wei was about to turn to speak to Mo Huai, she noticed he was missing and frowned.

"Did Mo Huai go to bed already?" Luo Wei wondered aloud.

Chi Ye stood up, turned off the TV with the remote, and said, "Sister Weiwei, get some rest. Good night."

Afterwards, Luo Wei walked upstairs to her room, moving quietly to avoid waking the man on the bed.

When she entered, she saw Mo Huai lying on the bed, his back turned to her. Luo Wei smiled and was about to go brush her teeth.

Suddenly, she was pulled into a warm embrace. Luo Wei stumbled into the heat and mumbled, "Aren’t you asleep?"

Mo Huai stared intently at her and said coolly, "Finished watching?"

Without hesitation, Luo Wei nodded, "Mm."

Luo Wei looked up at the man. His hand was firmly around her waist, pulling her even closer, almost pressing against him.

As Luo Wei inhaled the sandalwood scent from the man, their breaths mingled.

Luo Wei's face was pressed against his chest, her fingers tracing circles on his chest as she asked softly, "Mo Huai, aren’t you happy?"

Mo Huai was momentarily stunned, then hesitated before replying, "No."

"Hmph, I can see it. Are you... jealous?" Luo Wei pouted playfully and asked.

Mo Huai’s expression remained unchanged, and he stubbornly denied, "I’m not jealous."

Luo Wei observed the man’s face and thought he seemed different from usual. He looked just like the jealous male leads she saw in TV dramas.

"Really not?" Luo Wei asked, half-skeptical, with her brows slightly furrowed.

"Mm," the man replied coldly.

Luo Wei smiled lightly, feeling a ripple of emotions inside. Even though he denied being jealous, she knew he was simply too proud to admit it.

"Alright, do you want to hear about my past with Xiao Ye?" Luo Wei asked curiously, wanting the man to understand her past.

"Sure," Mo Huai replied.

Luo Wei’s thoughts drifted back to her childhood as she began, "The Luo and Chi families have been prominent families for a long time, so Xiao Ye and I have known each other since we were little. Although he is a few years younger than me, he has always been as caring as a brother. Whenever I was bullied or mocked by classmates, Xiao Ye would be the first to stand up for me, dealing with those who had mistreated me."

Luo Wei paused and took a deep breath before continuing, "When my mother locked me in a dark room, Xiao Ye would be locked in with me, enduring hunger together. When my sister bullied me, he would stand up for me. Xiao Ye was like my guardian angel."

Mo Huai's gaze was deep and dark, his fingers gently stroking the top of the girl’s head.

Luo Wei’s voice dropped, and she bit her lip, "Xiao Ye also helped me a lot with things related to Chi Yu. I won’t go into details, so you should understand why I care so much about Xiao Ye."

Mo Huai’s expression was complex as he gazed at the girl, wanting to say something but ultimately keeping silent.

He held her a bit tighter, as if trying to fuse them into one.

"I'm sorry."

After a long while, Mo Huai spoke gently, his tone soft as if it could be squeezed for water.

Luo Wei shook her head, her voice wavering, "There’s no need to say sorry. You haven’t done anything wrong to me. I should be the one apologizing."

"Fool," Mo Huai said with a slight smile, leaning down to kiss the corner of her eye, wiping away her tears.

After kissing for a while, Mo Huai released her and his eyes, dark as night, cut through the dim light. "Let Xiao Ye stay as long as he wants. I’ll just consider him as a younger brother."

Luo Wei’s face brightened with a smile, "Hehe, you’re the best to me." She snuggled into his chest.

A different kind of heat ignited in Mo Huai, and he immediately pressed her head down, preventing her from moving.

Luo Wei blinked innocently and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Mo Huai turned his head and cleared his throat, "Nothing..."

Mo Huai felt an urgent need for release, but with her being pregnant...

Mo Huai considered for a few seconds and then decisively moved her to the other side of the bed. He got up and walked to the bathroom.

Mo Huai turned on the cold water, rinsing his restless body, with steam clouding the glass.

Luo Wei watched Mo Huai rush into the bathroom and suddenly realized something. She secretly smiled to herself.

She thought to herself that she needed to be more cautious in the future, considering that he was a man and could easily go overboard.

Luo Wei glanced at the bathroom door, noting that Mo Huai had been inside for half an hour. Why was he taking so long? The sound of the shower was quite soothing.

Listening to the sound of running water from the bathroom, Luo Wei’s eyelids drooped, and she unknowingly fell asleep.

When Mo Huai finally emerged from the bathroom, he found the girl already asleep.

Mo Huai smiled slightly and, after a moment, gently tucked the blanket around her before lying down beside her.

Luo Wei murmured softly, frowned slightly, and then continued to sleep soundly.

Mo Huai smiled, stretched out his arm, and rested her head on his arm. He inhaled the scent of her hair and gradually fell asleep.
