At five in the morning, Luo Wei was awakened by the commotion of others, her eyes still bleary. "Why is it so early?"

Gu Chuyi shot her a glance. "Young lady, today is your wedding day. According to tradition, we have to get up this early; otherwise, it’ll be bad luck."

Su Yuxin chimed in, "Exactly! We Chinese always do things for good fortune."

"Alright," Luo Wei replied reluctantly, knowing she had to go along with them for the sake of luck.

The wedding ceremony was held at a church, with the banquet set at a hotel. The church decorations were all meticulously planned and arranged solely by Mo Huai.

Luo Wei had already been done up by a top makeup artist and was sitting in her room waiting for the groom to come and fetch her. Her light makeup enhanced her stunning features, making her fair complexion and radiant beauty stand out, like a blossoming peach flower. Her carefully contoured face had arched brows like crescent moons and cherry-red lips.

Each piece of jewelry was exquisitely crafted, dazzling to behold, and worth a fortune.

Gu Chuyi sighed in amazement, exclaiming, "Wow, Wei Wei, you look so beautiful! You really are the envy of everyone."

"You're flattering me," Luo Wei responded, a hint of a smile at the corner of her mouth. "I'm so tired..."

"Ugh, there you go showing off your love again. Did you, by any chance, have another..." Gu Chuyi said with a sly smile, winking teasingly.

"Get lost," Luo Wei shot her a disdainful look and explained, "I just got up too early today."

"A wedding only happens once in a lifetime. No matter how tiring it is, it’s meaningful," Su Yuxin said softly, her eyes sparkling.

After a moment, they heard laughter and shouting outside. Luo Wei poked her head out to see what was happening, her brows lifting in joy. "They've come to fetch the bride!"

"Yes, and it really moves me," Gu Chuyi exclaimed, waving her arms around.

Bang, bang—

There was a knock at the door, followed by Fu Chen's loud voice, "Open up, open up! The handsome groom is here!"

Gu Chuyi quickly leaned against the door, replying, "You’re not taking the bride away so easily. You better think of how to do this right."

Mo Huai appeared in a luxurious black suit that was both expensive and elegant, looking as if a god had descended. He pulled out a thick stack of red envelopes, each one stuffed generously.

The red envelopes were slid through the crack in the door, and Gu Chuyi's eyes sparkled. She quickly gathered them up, saying, "Still not enough; keep them coming!"

"Gu Chuyi, do you really need to be this greedy? When it's your wedding, you're going to be in big trouble," Chi Ye's threatening voice came from outside, while Fu Chen's expression darkened.

"Hmph, it's still not enough! Keep going," Gu Chuyi said dismissively, a smug expression on her face.

Mo Huai elegantly pulled out another stack of red envelopes, even thicker than the last, and slid them in. Gu Chuyi stuffed them into a bag until it was brimming with red envelopes.

Su Yuxin stepped forward, pretending to be difficult. "You can have the red envelopes, but the groom has to say 'I love you' in ten different languages to take the bride."

Gu Chuyi gave Su Yuxin a thumbs-up. "Sister Yuxin, you're so clever."

Luo Wei was taken aback and said awkwardly, "Isn't this a bit unfair to Mo Huai?"

"Come on," Gu Chuyi sighed, speaking earnestly. "Wei Wei, you can't let him off easy. You need to make sure Mo Huai truly values you. If you let him marry you too easily, he won't cherish you in the future."

Luo Wei: ...

Just as Luo Wei was feeling troubled, a confident voice came from outside. Mo Huai spoke clearly, his words ringing out smoothly.

The people inside were dumbfounded; Gu Chuyi could only understand English, Japanese, and Chinese, while she was clueless about the other ten languages.

Outside, Chi Ye nodded in admiration, looking at Mo Huai in disbelief. "Brother-in-law, you’re amazing! You can speak ten languages!"

"Gu Chuyi, hurry up and open the door," Chi Ye called out, raising his voice and banging on the door.

Gu Chuyi suddenly realized her mistake; she hadn’t expected Mo Huai to easily pass through the challenges. Where was her dignity in this? Did he think she was easy to deal with?

"Bring on any other challenges you have; our Young Master Mo isn't scared," Meng Yebai said with a teasing wink at Mo Huai.

...

The groomsmen cleared the way, and the bridesmaids stepped back. Mo Huai strode in, and the first thing he saw was the bride's bashful expression, her cheeks red as if they could drip water.

"Wow, Sister Wei Wei, you look so beautiful! Congratulations!" Chi Ye exclaimed, looking amazed while secretly glancing at Su Yuxin with longing.

Su Yuxin ignored his gaze, clearing her throat. "Mo Huai, congratulations on becoming Luo Wei's husband. If you dare to bully Wei Wei in the future, I won’t let you off easily."

Su Yuxin's nose felt a bit sour, and her eyes were misty, holding back tears from falling.

"I promise you, I will love Wei Wei for the rest of my life," Mo Huai replied sincerely, his gaze never leaving the bride.

"That's right; Wei Wei is in your hands now. You must take good care of her," Gu Chuyi echoed.

"Don't worry, little sister. Mo Huai is a lovesick fool; he will always love Wei Wei," Gu Xiu joked, a smile on his face.

Mo Huai walked over to Luo Wei, and under everyone's teasing, he lifted her up and carried her out of the room. Inside, the large character for 'happiness' was prominently displayed, creating a festive atmosphere. Luo Wei felt a surge of excitement in her heart.

Unable to hold back, Luo Wei softly said, "I’m really happy today."

To her surprise, a deep, magnetic voice replied, "I’m happy too. I love you."

Luo Wei's heart raced, and her face turned red.

Mo Huai gently placed her in the back seat, thoughtfully buckling her seatbelt before ordering the driver to start.

The car's interior was extremely romantic; the driver had deliberately played soft romantic songs, the melodic duet soothing to her ears and refreshing her heart.

As the car slowly headed toward the church, Mo Huai gently wrapped his arm around her shoulders, his gaze fixed on her.

A sweet feeling bubbled up in Luo Wei's heart, and she whispered, "Why do you keep looking at me?"

Hearing this, Mo Huai turned his head and smiled lightly, showing off his white teeth. "Because Wei Wei is really beautiful."

With just a few simple words, he stirred her imagination, and then he suddenly leaned closer to her ear, whispering, "You’re so beautiful, I can’t resist it even for a second..."

Luo Wei shot him a disdainful look and wrinkled her nose. "You... save that for later."

"What about tonight?" Mo Huai chuckled, his voice laced with sarcasm.

"I’m ignoring you," Luo Wei pretended to be angry, leaning away and falling silent.

Seeing this, Mo Huai raised his hands in surrender, "I’m sorry. No more jokes."

He smiled warmly, tenderly stroking her hair.

When they arrived at the church, Mo Huai took Luo Wei's hand and walked toward the entrance, where a crowd had been waiting for them. When Mo's father and mother saw them, they quickly rushed over. "You’re here! Wei Wei, you look so beautiful!"

Luo Wei shyly smiled. "Thank you, Mom. Have you been waiting long?"

Mo's father waved his hand, smiling. "Not at all. Waiting a little is expected; today is a big day for the Mo family, and I’m very happy."

"Dad," Mo Huai replied, his eyes twinkling. "Thank you."

"Why are you getting so sentimental all of a sudden? Today is a joyful occasion," Mo's father teased, his gaze filled with deep affection.

"Wei Wei."

A familiar yet serious voice called out. Luo Wei slowly turned her head, seeing a commanding figure with a dignified demeanor that exuded the presence of a general.
