Chi Yu refused to believe her words, gripping her wrist tightly, his gaze dark and terrifying.

Luo Wei struggled desperately, but her weak frame was no match for his tall stature of over six feet. "Let go of me, you're hurting me... let go," Luo Wei shouted angrily, glaring at Chi Yu.

Chi Yu looked at her with an imposing aura, his anger overflowing. He pulled her closer with force, bringing her face close to his. "If you truly don't love me anymore, why are you crying, hmm?" Chi Yu glared at her, his tone provocative.

Luo Wei sniffed, trying hard to hold back her tears as anger rose in her heart. "You're being unreasonable. Please, just let me go." She glanced around, her voice softening, "A lot of people are watching, please let go..."

Chi Yu didn't respond, his sharp gaze fixated on her, as if he wanted to possess her completely.

After a moment, Chi Yu let go of her pale wrist with a sigh, his deep and hoarse voice resonating. "Come back, okay?"

As her hand was suddenly freed, Luo Wei let out a long breath, looking down at her slightly swollen wrist with a frown. "Haven't I made myself clear? I'm married," Luo Wei said coldly, enunciating each word.

She glanced at Chi Yu, confused by his pitiful expression. He used to not care when she doted on him, but now that she liked him, he suddenly claimed to love her.

Steadying herself, Luo Wei spoke earnestly, "I'm very happy with my life now. I hope... I hope you won't come looking for me again. I don't want my life to be disturbed."

After speaking, Luo Wei turned her head away, unable to bear looking at his sorrowful expression any longer.

Chi Yu let out a cold laugh, his back stiff as he smiled bitterly.

Before Luo Wei could react, Chi Yu grabbed her hand and dragged her to a secluded corner. She stumbled, unable to keep up, and tried to shake off his grip. "What are you doing? Let go of me, or I'll scream for help."

Chi Yu cornered her, his eyes bloodshot, veins bulging on his forehead, and his gaze sharp like a beast's.

"You..." Luo Wei stammered, her heart trembling with fear.

Chi Yu raised his hands, trapping her. Luo Wei panicked, fumbling to open her bag and pull out her phone to call the man outside the shop. Chi Yu quickly snatched the phone from her, his expression dark. "I've realized that I like you..."

To Luo Wei, his words were grating. She let out a cold snort, "Too late."

Chi Yu's lips curled into a terrifying smile. In the next second, he suddenly cupped her face in his hands and kissed her.

Luo Wei struggled and cried out, "You're crazy! Help!" Fear spread through every cell in her body.

Tears streamed down her face as she cried desperately. Her body trembled as she fought against his grip with all her might.

"Slap—"

Chi Yu froze, his face stinging from the slap.

Luo Wei bit her lip, her hand still trembling in the air as she shouted angrily, "Enough!"

Wiping her tears, Luo Wei turned and ran out of the cozy café. She felt utterly wronged, convinced that Chi Yu had gone mad. Why else would he do such things?

At the entrance, Luo Wei suddenly stopped. She took a moment to compose herself, using a handkerchief to wipe her tears and taking a deep breath before forcing a smile.

As soon as she stepped outside, she saw Mo Huai getting out of the car, waiting for her by the roadside. Luo Wei jogged over to him, trying to sound casual, "Oh, did I keep you waiting long? It must have been boring. It was pretty boring in there too."

Mo Huai's expression was serious as he looked at her, saying nothing.

Luo Wei forced a smile and continued, "Let's go. Let's get in the car. I really want to go home."

She opened the car door and climbed in. After a few seconds, Mo Huai also got in.

The car drove down the road, the scenery on both sides whizzing by. Luo Wei stared blankly out the window.

Suddenly, Mo Huai turned the steering wheel sharply, pulling the car over to the side of the road. He looked at her intently, his gaze deep as a bottomless pool.

After a moment, Luo Wei snapped out of her daze and looked at him. "What's wrong?" she asked, confused.

"What did you two talk about?" Mo Huai asked seriously, his face stern.

"I... I told him not to come looking for me anymore," Luo Wei stammered. She didn't dare mention that Chi Yu had gone mad and kissed her, fearing that the Chi family would suffer because of it.

She didn't care what happened to Chi Yu, but she didn't want to implicate Mrs. Chi.

"Just that?" Mo Huai asked, half-believing her, his expression inscrutable.

"Yes." Luo Wei fell silent, then nodded obediently.

Mo Huai turned her around to face him, looking into her eyes. "But your eyes are telling me that you're very upset right now."

As he spoke, Luo Wei forced a smile, one that looked more like a grimace. "It's nothing. I'll just need some time to process it on my own."

"What should I do with you?" Mo Huai said indulgently, tapping her nose. "From now on, let me bear your sadness, okay?"

His voice was low and alluring, his affection spilling over, filling his heart with warmth.

Luo Wei suddenly hugged him tightly, her eyes moist with tears. She said gratefully, "Thank you for always being by my side."

"Thank you..." Luo Wei mumbled, her voice muffled.

Mo Huai chuckled softly, pulling her closer, inhaling the scent of her hair.

"You're such a fool," Mo Huai whispered, gently stroking the top of her head.

Feeling a wetness on his neck, Mo Huai frowned and let go of her.

Seeing her tear-streaked face, his heart clenched. He gently caressed her cheek with his hand.

Luo Wei sniffled, crying tears of joy. "I'm just so happy..."

"Thank you," Luo Wei whispered softly.

"Fool, don't say thank you. If anyone should be thanking someone, it should be me thanking you. Thank you for being here." Mo Huai gazed at her affectionately, his voice deep and husky.

Afterward, Mo Huai kissed away the tears on her face.

When they returned to the Supreme Mansion, Luo Wei felt her phone vibrate in her hand. Curious, she picked it up.

It was from an unknown number, with just three simple words: "I'm sorry."

Luo Wei didn't need to guess who it was. She had blocked Chi Yu's number long ago, so now he was using a different number to send her messages.

Luo Wei found it laughable. What was the point of apologizing after going crazy?

She thought of that classic line from Meteor Garden: "If an apology could solve everything, what would we need the police for?"

After a few seconds of thought, Luo Wei decisively blocked the unknown number.

At the same time, Chi Yu, having calmed down, regretted what he had done. He sent the apology from an unknown number, but as he expected, the message, like all the others, disappeared into the void.

After thinking for a few minutes, he typed another message and sent it.

The message failed to send, and Chi Yu's face filled with anger.

With a loud crash, he threw his phone to the ground.
