A Bentley was driving smoothly down the road, with slow and tender music playing inside the car. Su Yuxin placed her hands on her thighs, fiddling with her fingers. The atmosphere was long and quiet, so much so that she could hear her own breathing. She tilted her head slightly, watching the neon lights outside the window flash by.

After a while, a hoarse, low voice reached her ear, "Thank you." Su Yuxin turned her head to look at him, furrowing her brows, not quite understanding.

Chi Ye chuckled lightly and said, "For the bandaging last time." Su Yuxin suddenly realized, waved her hand, and said, "No big deal, just a small favor." She spoke casually, yet to someone, she seemed particularly warm and sunny.

In an instant, the car stopped at the address displayed on the navigation. Su Yuxin unfastened her seatbelt, turned to him, and said, "It's late. Drive safely, and send me a message when you get home." Chi Ye responded with a hum, and Su Yuxin waved goodbye.

Chi Ye withdrew his gaze from her, started the car, and glanced at the rearview mirror. He saw her smiling warmly, still enthusiastically waving goodbye. Unconsciously, Chi Ye smiled knowingly until her figure disappeared into the night.

An hour later, Su Yuxin received a WeChat message from Chi Ye. [I'm home. Good night!] Su Yuxin smiled and replied. [Good night.]

Luo Wei looked at the mound of gifts piled up like a hill, eagerly preparing to start unwrapping them. When she was a child, her dream was to receive numerous gifts on her birthday and then unwrap them one by one. It would surely feel amazing.

Thinking this, Luo Wei began to unwrap the gifts, each one different from the next. Gu Chuyi gave a qipao, Su Yuxin gifted special cosmetics for pregnant women, Gu Xiu sent the latest iPhone, Chi Ye gave her an autographed photo of her favorite celebrity... There were also gifts from Xu Kaifeng, Fu Chen, Mama Wang, and Mo Huai’s parents.

Looking at the neatly stacked gift boxes, Luo Wei struggled to pull out Mo Huai’s unique gift from the pile. She thought for a few seconds, trying to guess what he might have given her, but couldn't come up with anything.

After a few seconds, she unwrapped the outer packaging to reveal something resembling documents. Her brows furrowed into a deep crease. When she took a closer look, she was stunned; his gift was a villa, and the ownership was in her name only.

Luo Wei was frozen in place, and when she finally snapped out of it, Mo Huai was already standing beside her.

"You... gave me a villa? I’ve heard that’s really expensive," Luo Wei stammered.

"Yes," Mo Huai smiled. "Money is not an issue. I want you to feel secure." Luo Wei looked at him with her mouth agape, unable to help but feel a bit envious. She didn’t understand the world of the wealthy—buying a villa seemed so effortless for them.

Even though she had tens of millions in her bank account, she still felt small compared to someone as lavish and unflinching as Mo Huai.

"Having you is enough. A house is just a place to live; the sense of security you give me far exceeds any house." Luo Wei’s eyes reddened slightly as she whispered.

Her words didn’t escape Mo Huai’s ears. A satisfied smile appeared on his face, "Is that really what you think, Weiwei?" Luo Wei nodded obediently, her ears tinged with red, not daring to meet his gaze.

The man’s smile deepened, and suddenly, a hand wrapped around her waist, making her body stiffen.

Mo Huai’s deep, husky voice sounded, "You know, I’m hard to resist, hmm?" Before Luo Wei could respond, his lips gently pressed against hers, cutting off her words.

He kissed her leisurely, his tongue skillfully brushing against her teeth, his deep eyes glowing with a subtle light, greedily capturing her breath.

Luo Wei lowered her head slightly, as if shy, or perhaps in tacit agreement, her breathing becoming heated.

“Weiwei...” Mama Wang came out of the kitchen with a bowl of bird’s nest soup, and suddenly saw the steamy scene. She quickly lowered her head but was filled with joy inside.

Luo Wei hurriedly pushed the man away, trying to calm her flustered emotions, giving the man a reproachful look. It was all his fault—she’d been so caught up that she forgot Mama Wang was still in the kitchen.

Luo Wei forced a smile and said, "Mama Wang, you can leave it there. I’ll eat it later." Mama Wang chuckled, "Alright, no rush, no rush. You two carry on, I’ll head back to my room." She put down the bowl, gave Luo Wei a knowing look, and returned to her room with a smile, leaving Luo Wei feeling embarrassed.

Once Mama Wang closed the door, Luo Wei turned to the man, "Hmph, it’s all your fault. I’m so embarrassed, boo hoo..." Luo Wei felt like crying inside, hanging her head like a wronged wife.

Mo Huai’s lips curled into a smile, and he coaxed gently, "Mama Wang has been around, she understands." Luo Wei looked at him with a meaningful gaze, "Heh, like I believe you."

“Ring ring—” Luo Wei’s phone rang. She glanced at the screen, showing an unfamiliar number.

A look of irritation crossed her face—Zhu Shulan always called from different numbers. If Luo Wei hung up, a text message would follow.

Luo Wei hesitated for three seconds before cutting off the call. Sure enough, a text message arrived shortly after.

[Weiwei, it’s Mom. Today’s your birthday. I don’t know how you’re celebrating, but I wish you happiness every day. As long as you’re happy, I’m at ease. Mom knows she was wrong.]

Luo Wei sighed, deleted the message, and saw another unread text in the inbox, sent earlier today with just six words.

[Happy Birthday!]

Luo Wei thought for a few seconds, then decisively hit the delete button before putting her phone away. Mo Huai asked softly, "Not answering?" Luo Wei shook her head, then after a moment, forced a smile, "I’m tired." Mo Huai nodded and carried her back to their room to rest.

Meanwhile, Chi Yu was staring at Chi Ye’s WeChat Moments.

[Congratulations to Weiwei for her 24th birthday! Wishing you a healthy baby boy! Cheers!!!]

Underneath the text were a grid of nine photos of their celebrations, some of which showed Luo Wei and Mo Huai being affectionate.

In Chi Yu’s eyes, these photos were a direct hit to his heart, and a sharp pain instantly overwhelmed him.

His hand, holding the phone, trembled slightly, and his gaze turned dark and bloodthirsty.

Chi Ye walked in cheerfully, only to see Chi Yu sitting on the sofa with a vacant stare. He grinned mischievously.

“Hey, big brother, what are you up to? Did you see my Moments?” Chi Yu snapped back to reality, his eyes cold as he looked at him, his face dark and menacing.

Chi Ye walked closer, and when he inadvertently glanced at the phone in Chi Yu’s hand, he noticed it was displaying his WeChat post.

Chi Ye sneered, “Well, isn’t this perfect? I just mentioned it, and you’re already looking. Hehe.” Chi Yu’s gaze grew even darker, like a beast lurking, ready to explode at any moment.

Seeing Chi Yu’s gloomy face, Chi Ye toned it down a bit and said, “Big brother, good night.” Then, humming a cheerful tune, Chi Ye went back to his room, thinking to himself, this is enough to spice things up, hehe. He just wanted to see his brother chasing his wife to the crematorium.
