The sun was shining brightly as Luo Wei pitifully pleaded with Mo Huai to let her go out shopping with Gu Chuyi. If she didn’t get some time out shopping with her friends, she felt she would go crazy staying in the Supreme Mansion all day.
Mo Huai's response was that he could accompany her shopping, and she wasn’t allowed to be more than half a meter away from him. Luo Wei pouted, complaining that she simply wanted to go shopping with her friends; shopping with a man was a completely different experience.

“Okay, okay.” Luo Wei nodded hurriedly, thinking nothing could go wrong while shopping. She smiled sweetly at him.
Mo Huai pursed his thin lips and affectionately patted her on the head. “Go ahead.”
As soon as Luo Wei got out of the car, she saw Gu Chuyi waving at her from the side of the road and calling out, “Weiwei!”
Luo Wei looked up, her face beaming with joy, and waved back. “Chuyi, have you been waiting long?”
Gu Chuyi shook her head and blinked, “Just got here.”
Gu Chuyi tilted her head and greeted the man in the car, “Hi, I’ll take care of Weiwei today. You should head back, or we won’t have any fun with you here. It’ll be like having a bodyguard around.”
Mo Huai shot Gu Chuyi a glance before his gaze softened as it returned to Luo Wei. “You should go inside; it’s cold out here.”
Luo Wei smiled and waved goodbye. “Alright, drive safe.”
Mo Huai nodded, took one last look at her, then started the engine and drove off, the car quickly disappearing from view.
Gu Chuyi hooked her arm around Luo Wei’s and grinned, “Let’s go. The ‘Mo dog’ has left, so it’s just you and me today.”
Even though Luo Wei was pregnant, she moved nimbly, and due to her petite size, her body didn’t seem cumbersome.
Gu Chuyi glanced at her belly, “Damn, it’s only been a short while, but how did your belly get so big? Is it moving yet?”
Curious, Gu Chuyi gently placed her hand on Luo Wei’s belly to feel the baby’s movements.
Luo Wei lowered her eyes with a smile, thinking that it was normal for Gu Chuyi, who had never been in a relationship, to be curious about children.
“Wow, it’s really moving. That’s amazing! I’m going to be a godmother!” Gu Chuyi exclaimed excitedly, as if she were experiencing something entirely new.
“Hehe, of course, you’ll be my baby’s godmother,” Luo Wei said with a smile, and the two of them walked into the mall together.
“I see teppanyaki tofu.”
Luo Wei and Gu Chuyi said it simultaneously, then looked at each other and burst into laughter.
Luo Wei smiled, “It seems our tastes are still the same. Do you remember when we used to sneak out during night study sessions to buy teppanyaki tofu?”
Gu Chuyi’s eyes sparkled as she nodded vigorously, “I remember, I remember. Now my little glutton in my belly is awake.”
As she spoke, Gu Chuyi pretended to wipe her mouth.
“You sit here, I’ll go line up.” Gu Chuyi helped Luo Wei sit on a bench before turning to join the crowd.
Luo Wei patiently sat and waited. After ten minutes, Gu Chuyi returned with two servings of teppanyaki tofu.
She placed the food on the table with a sly grin, “Let’s dig in, hehe.”
Luo Wei looked at the teppanyaki tofu, breathed out happily, and couldn’t help but praise, “It looks so delicious, absolutely perfect.”
As Gu Chuyi was about to take a big bite, her phone buzzed with a WeChat message. She frowned, picked up her phone, and saw it was from Mo Huai.
[Remember not to let Weiwei eat junk food, especially teppanyaki tofu!!! If I find out you’re secretly feeding her, I won’t let you off the hook.]
Gu Chuyi was stunned, and the tofu on her fork fell onto the table. Her mouth twitched, and she glanced at Luo Wei.
Sensing something was wrong, Luo Wei wiped her face with a napkin and asked curiously, “What’s up?”
“Did your man tell you anything when you came out? Like something you shouldn’t do?” Gu Chuyi’s face showed a trace of panic, and sweat began to form on her forehead. If Mo Huai found out she bought Luo Wei teppanyaki tofu, especially a large portion, would he blame her?
Luo Wei narrowed her eyes and shook her head, “No, Mo Huai just told me to call him if anything came up, but what could happen when I’m with you?”

After sending the message, Gu Chuyi suddenly felt a chill down her spine. She shuddered, trying to clear her head.
“Weiwei, let’s not tell the ‘Mo dog’ about us eating teppanyaki tofu, okay?” Gu Chuyi said with a silly grin.
“Why not?”
“Because he’ll kill me if he finds out, boohoo…”
Gu Chuyi handed her phone to Luo Wei, who took a look and laughed, “Haha, he’s just joking. But this will be our secret; I won’t tell him. You’re my best friend.”
Gu Chuyi hugged her, rubbing her cheek against Luo Wei’s arm. “Weiwei, you’re the best.”
Luo Wei’s phone vibrated with a message, and she picked it up.
[Weiwei, have fun!]
It was from Mo Huai, with a cute emoji at the end.
Luo Wei couldn’t help but laugh out loud and replied.
[Got it.] She added a kissing emoji.
Gu Chuyi clicked her tongue, “As a single woman, how much more of this lovey-dovey stuff do I have to endure? Ugh…”
Luo Wei gently tapped her on the head and teased, “You should find someone too.”
Gu Chuyi scoffed, “I don’t need a man, and besides, I haven’t met anyone I like yet.”
Just as she said that, a certain face flashed through Gu Chuyi’s mind, surprising even herself.
She shook her head to clear it and straightened up, “Let’s go shopping! I’ve had my eye on a Chanel bag for a while now but haven’t had time to buy it.”
“Alright.” Luo Wei agreed, and Gu Chuyi cleaned up the trash before heading to the luxury store.
Luo Wei froze as a familiar figure caught her eye.
It was Luo Qianqian, her arm linked with an older man who was about the same age as Luo Jianguo. He had a beer belly and a face full of fat, exuding an air of arrogance.
Following her gaze, Gu Chuyi looked over and, seeing them, muttered disdainfully, “What a pair of scumbags!”
