Dog Ignores Cat Pet Shop.

Customers came and went from the pet shop, and Luo Wei finally finished her work. Just as she sat down, Su Yuxin placed her hand on her shoulder. "Weiwei, you're finally back. Our pet shop really needs you."

"Hehe, Yuxin missed you so much," chimed in Xiao Qiu, who had just put down the mop and turned around to agree.

Luo Wei looked at Su Yuxin and smiled. "It's been a tough year for you, Sister Yuxin, as well as Xiao Qiu and Xiao Li."

Su Yuxin raised her eyebrows. "Your man actually let you come back to work?" A teasing smile appeared on her red lips as she winked.

Luo Wei blushed and nodded. "He's very supportive of me working. He is who he is, and I am who I am. I still want to have my own career."

As soon as she finished speaking, Su Yuxin nodded with satisfaction and gave her a thumbs-up.

Just then, their conversation was interrupted by a soft voice. Luo Wei turned around and saw a woman dressed in a black coat and wearing sunglasses. Her skin was as smooth as jade, pale like frost and snow, as she walked in.

"Is the owner here?"

Luo Wei stopped talking and stood up to walk toward the stranger. She stole a glance at the woman, thinking that she was one of the rare beauties in Yanjing City. The woman was holding a white cat, looking like a character straight out of a manga.

"Miss, hello, I’m the owner. How can I help you?" Luo Wei said politely, with a slight smile on her lips.

The stranger glanced down at her, surveying the store's surroundings. Her voice was mocking, "A few days ago, I brought my cat to your shop for grooming. Now, my cat has contracted a virus. It's neither dead nor alive. What are you going to do about it?"

The stranger dramatically removed her sunglasses, revealing a sharp gaze, and an unpleasant smile crept into her eyes.

"S-sorry, miss. How is your cat doing now? We can provide free treatment," Luo Wei's fingers tightened, her lips trembling slightly as a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead.

Since the pet shop had opened, nothing like this had ever happened. It was the first time, and Luo Wei felt stuck.

Seeing this, Su Yuxin sensed that the stranger had come with ill intentions. She gave the woman a deep look and spoke slowly, “Miss, we’ve never encountered this situation before. When exactly did you come in for the grooming? Could the cat have contracted the virus afterward? Could this be a misunderstanding?”

Hearing this, the stranger instantly flared up. A flicker of fire ignited in her eyes as she snapped, "What do you mean by that? Are you saying I’m slandering you? It’s your privilege that I even came to this lousy store. Now that something's wrong, you're trying to shirk responsibility?"

The woman stared at Su Yuxin as if they had some deep-seated grudge from a past life, ready to tear her apart.

Su Yuxin's temper flared up too, but Luo Wei didn’t want things to escalate. She tugged at Su Yuxin’s sleeve, signaling her not to act impulsively.

But Su Yuxin wasn’t one to back down easily. She brushed Luo Wei’s hand away, stepped forward to meet the stranger’s gaze, and sparks flew between them. "I’m not shirking responsibility. If you claim this is our store’s fault, then show me proof. Words alone mean nothing."

The stranger let out a cold laugh, as if she had heard the world's biggest joke. A sneer appeared on her lips. "I knew you'd try to deny it. Here’s proof from the hospital showing that my cat has indeed contracted a virus and doesn’t have long to live. The cat is very expensive, so let’s see how you plan to compensate me."

After saying that, the woman raised her head proudly, with a faint smirk of satisfaction on her lips.

"It was you who groomed my cat. I want your apology and compensation. I’ve had this cat for five years. It’s like family to me," the stranger said, her gaze fixed on Su Yuxin, her words laced with barbs.

Su Yuxin took the report the woman handed her, the bright red stamp catching her eye. She vaguely remembered that she had been the one who groomed the cat.

"How do you want to handle this?" Su Yuxin, feeling defeated, spoke without her earlier confidence and pride.

Luo Wei took two steps forward, her brow furrowed. "I’m sorry. How much do you need for compensation? I’ll pay it."

"Compensation?" The stranger sneered coldly. "Do you think money can solve everything?"

Su Yuxin’s voice turned icy. "Then what do you want?"

"An apology and compensation," the stranger said, not planning to let them off easily. Seeing Su Yuxin’s humbled expression only lifted her mood.

"Fine, I’ll apologize. I’m sorry, miss. How much do you need for compensation?" Luo Wei quickly said, bowing deeply to the stranger with sincere regret.

The woman crossed her arms, her eyes glinting with malice. "Who asked for your apology? I want hers," she said, pointing at Su Yuxin, standing on her left.

Su Yuxin shot the woman a glare, her fists clenched tightly. If not for Luo Wei holding her back, she might have rushed over to tear the woman’s mouth apart.

Luo Wei sighed deeply. Running a business meant dealing with difficult customers, but she hadn’t expected such a beautiful woman to be so unreasonable and difficult.

Su Yuxin refused coldly, her eyes brimming with stubbornness. She had always taken her work seriously, and it was hard to believe this had happened. The only explanation she could think of was that she had been set up.

The woman wasn’t fazed by Su Yuxin’s refusal. Instead, she smiled coldly and spat out her words. "You think I don’t have a way? Let me tell you, I have plenty of ways to destroy you. Just wait and see."

Luo Wei held back the seething Su Yuxin, trying to calm her down. She whispered, "Stay calm. Being peaceful is profitable."

Su Yuxin’s anger erupted in her eyes, but she gritted her teeth and replied, "Hah, we’ll see who’s afraid of whom."

The stranger clapped her hands and smirked. "Let’s see then."

With that, the woman strutted arrogantly out of the pet shop. As she turned the corner, she pulled out her phone from her purse and pressed a number.

“Godfather, someone bullied me. You have to get revenge for me.” A dangerous aura emanated from her as she spoke.

Though Gao Zhenni was only an intern at a small company, her family background was complicated, and she had ties in both the criminal and legitimate worlds. Her godfather had pampered her since childhood and wouldn’t tolerate her being wronged. Chi Ye was the first boy she ever liked. She had pretended to be innocent and sweet to win his attention, but that night, seeing Chi Ye and Su Yuxin laughing together made her feel unbearable pain. She despised Su Yuxin, seeing her as nothing more than a seductive fox.

Given her godfather’s power, getting rid of Su Yuxin would be as easy as crushing an ant.

From then on, Dog Ignores Cat Pet Shop would undergo a baptism of fire...
