Luo Wei and the little bundle of joy were playing in the living room while Mo Huai carefully prepared the milk formula nearby.
Soon, Mo Huai walked over with the bottle in hand, feeding the excited little one who eagerly grabbed it, bouncing with joy and sucking away. Babbling noises filled the air.
Luo Wei tied her hair into a neat and lively ponytail, giving her a fresh, youthful look that was far from the image of a married woman—she appeared sweet and innocent.
"From now on, the job of making formula is all yours. You do it so well," Luo Wei said, flattering him. As the saying goes, compliments never fail.
These days, Luo Wei had succumbed to laziness. She didn’t want to lift a finger. Whenever she asked, Mo Huai responded right away, taking care of everything that should have been her responsibility.
"Sure," Mo Huai replied gently with a soft smile.
Instantly, Luo Wei's heart bloomed with happiness.
Little Yueyi watched her parents with a big smile on her face and, in her baby voice, mumbled, “Ma—”
Luo Wei was stunned. She looked down at the adorable little one in surprise, raising her hand to cover her mouth, her face full of shock as she asked in a raised voice, “Baby, what did you just call me?”
Little Yueyi cooperated, calling again, “Ma, Pa.”
Though her voice was unclear, both Luo Wei and Mo Huai heard her call distinctly.
Mo Huai held Yueyi in his arms, a flicker of surprise in his eyes, and with his left arm around Luo Wei's slender waist, his voice was rich and warm, "Good girl, you're so sweet."
"Oh my god, so this is what it feels like to be called 'Mom.' I'm so happy. From now on, I’ll love you even more," Luo Wei said, her eyes welling up with tears of joy.
"Silly girl," Mo Huai murmured lovingly, casting a deep glance at Luo Wei before gently wiping away the tears from the corner of her eyes. Then, suddenly, he leaned in and placed a kiss on her tear-streaked face, leaving Luo Wei feeling as if an angel had kissed her, her heart filled with sweetness.
Little Yueyi, full of excitement, kept calling "Mom" and "Dad." Luo Wei, quick on her feet, grabbed her phone and opened the recording app, capturing all of Yueyi's soft, sweet baby talk.
One moment, Luo Wei had tears glistening in her eyes, and the next, she was beaming with joy. She opened Weibo and posted the adorable recording, adding a caption:
"Hearing Yueyi call me 'Mom' for the first time was unforgettable, such a mix of surprise and joy! Mommy will always love you~ Mo Yueyi."
Within five minutes of posting, Chi Ye responded.
"Wow! Yueyi is so cute, Uncle loves you. When will you call me 'Uncle'? Looking forward to it..."
Luo Wei had 200,000 followers on Weibo, and in just a few minutes, she had received over 100 replies.
Mo Huai: "Don’t love me?" (with a playful dog-head emoji).
Gu Chu Yi: "Hehe, what about me, what about me? When will she call me godmother? Yueyi's godmother will always love you, Mua..."
Gu Xiu: "Very nice!"
Luo Wei glanced at the man lounging lazily on the sofa, playing with their child, and quickly typed on her phone, "Guess if I love you or not? Hehe."
Su Yuxin: "She’s too cute, like a little doll! Yueyi's inherited her mom and dad’s high IQ. Who knows how many hearts she’ll steal in the future. Poor boys..."
Gu Xiu replied to Mo Huai: "I’ve been force-fed so much sweetness, it’s practically a crime. Legally speaking, I could sue for damages."
Mo Huai responded: "Get lost!"
Fu Chen replied to Gu Chu Yi: "Why does your phone show you're still in the country? Weren’t you supposed to be in France? Where are you now?"
Gu Chu Yi, who was lounging comfortably in bed, scrolling through Weibo, froze when she saw Fu Chen’s reply. Panicking, she threw her phone aside and worked hard to calm her racing heart. She quickly set her Weibo status to invisible, disappearing from sight like a ghost.
Her heart raced as if she had been caught doing something wrong. She buried her face into her pillow and cursed herself silently, Am I an idiot? Why did I respond? If Fu Chen knows I lied to him, will he forgive me?
Frustrated, Gu Chu Yi wanted to ask the heavens for an answer but decided to forget about it because...
At that moment, a servant called out loudly from the doorway, “Miss, dinner is ready!”

Zhu Shulan had been closely following Luo Wei’s Weibo, refreshing it the moment she posted something, but she never dared comment or like anything, afraid that her actions might displease Luo Wei.
"Little Yueyi is so cute, and she can already say ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad,’" Zhu Shulan said with a deepening smile, playing the recording over and over.
"Sis, you’ve played that hundreds of times now," He Wanling teased, resting her chin in her hand.
Zhu Shulan glanced at her and, unbothered, said, "She's my granddaughter. No matter how much I watch, I don’t get tired of it. She looks just like Weiwei."
"Yes, Yueyi is just as cute as Weiwei," He Wanling smiled and agreed.
"What are you two talking about?" Zhu Shulan’s brother, Zhu Shuli, had just returned from work, carrying his briefcase. He glanced at them both.
“Nothing,” Zhu Shulan quickly turned off her phone, not wanting her brother to know she was still hung up on the past.
"Why are you home so early?" He Wanling asked, excited that her husband was back earlier than usual. She happily leaned into him like a little bird snuggling into its nest.
Zhu Shuli wrapped an arm around her, his serious face softening with a hint of a smile, "I finished up early, so I came home."
"Hehe, my husband is amazing, always so efficient at work."
"You flatterer," Zhu Shuli laughed, then turned to his sister. "I have a business partner, very decent man. We've worked together for years, and he's always admired you. He's been divorced for a while now. How about I arrange a meeting for you two to chat?"
Zhu Shulan froze and stammered, "Brother, I don’t want to get married again. I’m not jumping into another fire pit, so please stop matchmaking."
Her eyes flashed with anger as she crossed her arms.
"Fine, I won’t force you. Our family isn’t hurting for money. If you’re not interested, I’ll let him know." Zhu Shuli spoke slowly, his face expressionless.
Zhu Shulan huffed and stormed off without a word.
Zhu Shuli’s face darkened with annoyance, but He Wanling, sensing the tension, quickly stepped in to smooth things over. "Oh honey, don’t be upset. Sis has her own thoughts about these things. You can’t rush love. I know you mean well, but sometimes we need to give her some time. She’s still healing from her past. Let’s just give her space, okay?"
Hearing this, Zhu Shuli’s anger faded, and his expression softened. "You’re right. I was being too hasty."
"No, no, you’re just a loving brother, and she’ll understand that."
With a bright smile, He Wanling successfully eased the situation, leaving Zhu Shuli feeling a warmth in his heart.
"Mm." He nodded, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
He Wanling beamed, "My husband’s smile is still the most charming."
Zhu Shuli pinched her nose playfully, his heart swelling with affection.
