In the early morning, a beam of bright sunlight streamed through the window, falling on Luo Wei.
Still in a deep slumber, she suddenly felt a familiar masculine breath tickling her ear, followed by a soft wetness on her cheek. It was gentle and affectionate.
"Weiwei, time to get up?" His voice was low, rich, and magnetic.
She shifted slightly and murmured, "Mmm, just five more minutes." Mo Huai glanced at his watch, silently counting down the seconds as time ticked away.
As soon as the five minutes were up, a roguish smile tugged at his handsome face, his voice seductive. "Weiwei, time’s up. The photographer has been waiting downstairs for a while. You haven't forgotten that today is our wedding photoshoot day, have you?"
A faint blush appeared on Luo Wei’s cheeks. She frowned slightly, mumbling, "I remember, but I'm really tired. Can’t I sleep a little longer?" Mo Huai’s lips curled up, and after a brief pause, he softened, relenting. "Alright, then sleep. I’ll go explain to the photographer."
Upon hearing this, Luo Wei, still with her eyes closed, smiled contentedly and responded in a low voice, "Mmm." Although she hated to keep people waiting, she had no choice. Last night, Mo Huai had suddenly gotten into one of his moods and kept her up. To others, they seemed like a loving couple, but she did not want to endure that overwhelming feeling again.
She had already experienced his roughness once during a one-night stand, and ever since, she had secretly nicknamed him 'Mo Beast' in her mind.
Mo Huai glanced at the sleeping beauty on the bed, turned, and walked out quietly, deliberately slowing his steps.
Luo Wei continued her nap... until Gu Chuyi’s arrival fully woke her. Gu Chuyi’s constant chatter was impossible to ignore.
After freshening up, Luo Wei looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. Her neck, pale as frost, was now covered in hickeys, purple and blue marks. Anyone who didn’t know better would think she’d been in a fight. But she knew all too well whose handiwork it was. She couldn’t help but let out a low, frustrated growl. "Such a beast... ugh!"
At that moment, Gu Chuyi stood outside the door, knocking loudly. "Weiwei, are you ready? Hurry up, or I’m coming in!"
Luo Wei poked her head out, walked to the wardrobe, and quickly pulled out a silk scarf, tying a neat bow around her neck. After pulling herself together, she opened the door.
"Finally! Weiwei, why’d you take so long?" Gu Chuyi immediately flashed a silly grin when she saw her. "Wait, aren’t we supposed to take wedding photos? Why aren't you in a wedding dress?"
Luo Wei forced a bitter smile. She wanted to wear the wedding dress, but with all the hickeys on her neck and so many people watching, she couldn’t bear the embarrassment.
She paused, giving a light smile, "I’ll save the wedding dress for my actual wedding day. This evening gown I’m wearing now is quite beautiful, too."
She spun around, trying to show that the dress was just as good as the wedding gown.
Gu Chuyi pouted, waving her hand dismissively. "Nah, this evening gown doesn’t suit the occasion at all."
Luo Wei laughed awkwardly. "I think it’s just fine. How about I wear the wedding dress next time?"
Gu Chuyi’s eyes twinkled mischievously as she suddenly reached over and tugged at the scarf around Luo Wei’s neck, revealing her skin.
Luo Wei stood frozen, quickly covering her neck with her hands. "Ah... Chuyi, you..."
Gu Chuyi laughed cheekily, "I knew it! Why the scarf? It’s not your style. So, what’s going on with your neck?" Her grin was filled with teasing as she pointed knowingly.
Gu Chuyi let out an exaggerated "Wow."
Luo Wei’s face flushed bright red, momentarily speechless.
Gu Chuyi stopped laughing and suddenly turned serious. "It’s fine, it’s just a mark of love. I get it, hehe."
Luo Wei quickly grabbed the scarf back from Gu Chuyi’s hands, retying it around her neck. Gu Chuyi, still giggling, linked arms with her, and they headed downstairs together.
As soon as they got downstairs, Mo Huai’s tall figure came into view. He looked up, smiling warmly. "Weiwei."
Gu Chuyi walked up to him, winking playfully and teasing, "Mo Dog, huh? Last night must’ve been quite the night, huh?"
Mo Huai’s face twitched, and he shot her a sharp glare, which instantly silenced her.
Mo Huai strode over to Luo Wei, pulling her into his arms, gently ruffling her hair. "Weiwei, did you sleep well?"
His voice was so soft it could melt butter. Gu Chuyi shivered, the hairs on her arms standing up. "Alright, alright, I’ve had enough of your lovey-dovey display."
Luo Wei burst into laughter, unable to straighten up from laughing so hard.
Mo Huai’s expression remained unchanged as he smiled softly. "Let’s start the photoshoot."
After much deliberation, Luo Wei decided that the location for the wedding photos would be the stunning Bosch Estate, known for its beautiful and picturesque scenery—the perfect place for a wedding photoshoot.
Mo Huai gently held her waist as the crew prepared the equipment outside.
By this time, Luo Wei had changed into a beautiful wedding dress, the hickeys on her neck carefully concealed with thick foundation. Mo Huai, with a mischievous smile, couldn’t help but glance at her.
Luo Wei wished she could wipe the grin off his face. She gritted her teeth, "Hmph, this is all your fault."
Mo Huai’s lips curled up slightly, his eyes flashing with pride. He leaned in close to her ear, his breath hot as he whispered, "But didn’t you enjoy yourself last night, Weiwei?"
Luo Wei felt like screaming inside, glaring at him. Just as she was about to raise her hand to hit him, the photographer’s voice interrupted.
"Everything's ready! Mr. Mo, Mrs. Luo, please take your places."
Hearing this, Luo Wei lowered her hand and calmed herself, while Mo Huai’s face lit up with a bright smile.
Mo Huai wrapped his arm around her as they posed for the photos. The photographer, in his professional tone, directed them, "Mrs. Luo, don’t be nervous. Relax, relax. Smile, that’s it, beautiful, hehe."
The photographer, a handsome man in his thirties who had won multiple awards, was clearly a seasoned pro.
Luo Wei gave a nervous smile, curling her fingers. What could she do? This was her first time taking wedding photos. Unlike the man beside her, who looked like a god descended to earth—handsome and radiant.
Before she knew it, Mo Huai’s fingers gently cupped her chin, turning her face toward him as he gazed at her with affection. "Weiwei, today, you are the most beautiful girl in the world."
After speaking, Mo Huai bent down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. In that moment, her heart calmed, as if the world had disappeared, leaving only the two of them.
With her tension gone, the photographer’s camera flashed rapidly, capturing both their wedding photos and a family portrait with their child.
Little Yueyi was bubbling with excitement, calling out, "Mama..." Mo Huai scooped her up in his arms, planting a kiss on her cheek. "Sweetie, you’ve been so good today. Daddy loves you the most."
The warm sunlight bathed them, and the photographer captured the happy faces of this little family. He couldn’t help but compliment, "What a beautiful family! You make me want to get married too."
An assistant teased from the side, "Hehe, as if anyone would want you."
The photographer shot him a glare and playfully swung a punch, eliciting a cry of mock pain that echoed through the air.
Luo Wei turned to see the scene, covering her mouth as she laughed uncontrollably.
