Mo Huai's parents were concerned that their son, despite being a grown man, might not be meticulous or considerate enough to care for a pregnant woman. To alleviate their worries, they sent Wang Ma, an experienced caretaker from their old house, to assist Luo Wei.
Wang Ma had a wealth of experience, having cared for Mo Huai's mother during her childbirth and watched Mo Huai grow up. With Aunt Wang around, Mo Huai's parents felt more at ease, knowing that Luo Wei would be well taken care of.
"Aunt Wang, I stewed some bird's nest. Please remember to eat it while it's hot," Aunt Wang called out affectionately. Her crow's feet at the corners of her eyes slightly lifted, and there were some white hairs on her head, but she looked energetic and approachable—a kind old lady.
Luo Wei walked in from the room and responded in a gentle tone, "Auntie Wang, just call me Weiwei from now on. There's no need to be so formal."
Aunt Wang nodded respectfully, "Okay, Madam."
Luo Wei smiled helplessly. Wang Ma had been born in the countryside and had worked as a servant in the Mo family for thirty years, taking care of the family meticulously. Despite the master-servant distinction, she was considered a member of the household.
Luo Wei walked to the dining table and sat down lazily. After taking a bite, she had to admit that Wang Ma's cooking skills were excellent—the stew was perfectly cooked, with just the right degree of chewiness.
Raising her head, Luo Wei stared at the study. The man had been in there all day and hadn't left the room.
Luo Wei sighed, feeling the weight of boredom. A few days ago, Mo Huai had told her that the company was rushing to complete a project plan within a week, so he would be very busy. Before meeting Mo Huai, she had been living a good life on her own. But now, without him by her side, everything seemed dull and uninteresting.
"Have I become spoiled?" she wondered, puzzled by her own feelings.
The sudden ringing of the doorbell interrupted her thoughts.
"Ding Dong Ding Dong——"
Aunt Wang put down the rag she was holding and went to open the door.
Aunt Wang glanced curiously at the tall man at the door and asked, "Who are you?"
"Hello, I'm looking for Mr. Mo," Xu Kaifeng replied with a faint smile. He thought that the elderly woman in front of him, who had a kind face, must be the one hired to take care of Miss Luo.
"Come in," Aunt Wang invited.
Xu Kaifeng entered and glanced around the living room, noticing Luo Wei eating. "Hello, Miss Luo," he greeted as he approached her.
Luo Wei smiled gently and pointed towards the study. "He's in the study," she informed him.
When Luo Wei saw the briefcase in Xu Kaifeng's hand, she immediately understood his purpose without needing an explanation.
"Thank you," Xu Kaifeng nodded, then turned and walked upstairs to deliver it.
"Assistant Xu..." Luo Wei suddenly called out, appearing as if she wanted to say something but hesitated.
Hearing her, Xu Kaifeng stopped and turned back, looking at her curiously. "Miss Luo, what's the matter?"
Luo Wei hesitated before asking, "Assistant Xu, do you know when the company's project will be completed?" She smiled awkwardly, trying to mask her embarrassment.
Xu Kaifeng found her question odd, wondering why Miss Luo was suddenly interested in the company's affairs. He didn't press for an explanation, instead pausing to think before responding.
"I'm sorry, but the finalization of this plan still depends on President Mo. I think... it should be soon," Xu Kaifeng replied slowly, his expression serious.
Luo Wei let out a frustrated sigh and continued to idly pick at the bird's nest in her bowl.
Xu Kaifeng found Miss Luo's behavior odd, but he didn't dwell on it as he headed upstairs. He knocked lightly on the study door and, after hearing a response, pushed it open and entered.
"Mr. Mo, the plan requires your signature. Please take a look," Xu Kaifeng said, placing the document in front of Mo Huai in a respectful manner.
Mo Huai took the document, his slender fingers moving gracefully as he signed his name in a bold and commanding script.
Xu Kaifeng took the document but remained in place, showing no intention of leaving. Mo Huai glanced at him curiously, slightly parting his lips, "Is there something else?"
"Boss Mo, how long will it take to complete our plan?" Xu Kaifeng asked, feeling the need to clarify since he was only responsible for assisting, with the main work still under Mo Huai's charge.
Mo Huai gave him another puzzled look. It was unusual for Special Assistant Xu to ask such an unimportant question; he was usually focused on doing his own job well.
Sensing the need to explain, Xu Kaifeng hurriedly added, "I asked on behalf of Miss Luo."
"Weiwei?" Mo Huai repeated, frowning.
"Miss Luo asked when the plan would be finished. Maybe she's feeling too bored on her own and wants more of your company. After all, pregnant women have more changeable emotions..." Xu Kaifeng trailed off, trying to convey the situation diplomatically.
Xu Kaifeng spoke incoherently, causing Mo Huai's gaze to deepen with thought. He had been confined to the study for the past week, and indeed, she must have been quite bored alone.
Mo Huai, despite his focus on work, felt a twinge of guilt about her loneliness. He dismissed Xu Kaifeng with a curt nod.
"Boss Mo, I'll be leaving now," Xu Kaifeng said before retreating quietly.
Mo Huai’s expression darkened. Had Xu Kaifeng said something wrong?
After exchanging a brief greeting with Luo Wei, Xu Kaifeng left the Supreme Mansion.
It was eleven o'clock at night; though late, the light in the study was still on. Luo Wei was watching a dating variety show and, feeling increasingly sleepy, eventually fell asleep on the sofa. The TV continued to play the latest episode of the show.
The light in the study suddenly dimmed as Mo Huai returned to the room, only to find the bed empty. He narrowed his eyes slightly, then walked out to the living room.
There, he found Luo Wei asleep on the sofa. She looked serene and sweet, with her pink lips and makeup-free cheeks illuminated by the soft glow of the TV.He couldn't help but want to take a bite.
Mo Huai stared at the girl, his Adam's apple rolling unconsciously, looking sexy and seductive.
Mo Huai lowered his head and bent over to gently hold the girl in his arms. Luo Wei moaned twice and continued to sleep.
Mo Huai walked slowly and held the girl gently, afraid of disturbing her sleep.
Mo Huai carried the girl into the bedroom and gently placed her on the soft big bed.
His eyes never left hers, and slowly, he leaned forward and kissed her plump cherry red lips.
Mo Huai was full of restraint and stopped after just a taste.
As soon as Mo Huai let go, the girl's eyelashes trembled and she whispered softly: "Mo Huai?"
Luo Wei was sleepy and her voice was very seductive, just like a kitten.
Mo Huai's voice was low and hoarse, full of magnetic charm, "Yeah."
Mo Huai's breath was close to the girl's ear. His voice was mellow, and it caused a shiver in the girl's neck.
Suddenly, Luo Wei raised her hands and hugged the back of his neck, and took the initiative to kiss the man's thin lips while he was not paying attention.
A hint of surprise flashed across Mo Huai's eyes. He pushed her down and kissed her sweet lips like a storm.
As his nose wafted past the sweet yet not greasy fragrance of her body, he felt as if he, who had always been calm and self-controlled, could lose control at any moment.
The girl felt numb all over and dizzy from his kiss.
After thirty minutes, the man covered himself with the quilt and gently kissed the girl on the forehead.
Then Mo Huai picked up his pajamas and went into the bathroom to take a cold shower…
