The next morning, Luo Wei woke up feeling sleepy. She rubbed her eyes and turned her head, noticing that the man was gone and the warmth of the quilt had faded.

After getting ready, she walked to the living room on the first floor and was surprised to find Mo Huai standing tall, sipping his coffee comfortably.

Luo Wei hesitated before asking, "Don’t you have to work today?"

Seeing her, Mo Huai’s face lit up with a satisfied smile. He poured her a cup of soy milk as he usually did.

"Took the day off," Mo Huai said gently. He needed a break himself after the events of the previous day.

No matter how much money one makes, it pales in comparison to the girl in front of him, especially when the Mo family has more than enough money.

Luo Wei's eyes sparkled with anticipation. Her face lit up as she danced with joy and exclaimed, "Really? Then I won’t be so bored anymore!"

Mo Huai watched her with a gentle expression. Realizing her slip, Luo Wei cleared her throat and corrected herself, "I mean, this way you can take a break and not work so hard."

To cover her embarrassment, Luo Wei took a sip of the soy milk from the table, biting her lip.

Mo Huai's lips curled into a slight smile as he looked at her with a sharp gaze.

Luo Wei picked up a fried dough stick and chewed it slowly, feeling the slight pain in her red and swollen mouth.

She reflected on the events of the previous night. She had accidentally fallen asleep on the sofa, and someone must have carried her back to the room. It could only have been Mo Huai, as he often carried her when she was too tired from the pregnancy.

She recalled that, in the middle of the night, someone had kissed her, and she had responded without hesitation.

Luo Wei wondered if she was having an erotic dream. She scratched her head.
When Luo Wei saw the man sitting at the dining table, his face calm and expressionless, she was certain she must have been having an erotic dream.

She raised her slender fingers and gently touched her lips, letting out a "tsk" sound and frowning slightly. The kiss felt so real...

Seeing Luo Wei’s worried expression, Mo Huai asked nervously, "What's wrong?"

Luo Wei chuckled, finding it amusing that she was still having such dreams at her age. "I had a strange dream," she said, unable to hide her amusement.
Mo Huai cleared his throat and asked with feigned curiosity, "Oh? What was the dream?"

Luo Wei stopped laughing and looked at the man, her face flushing red. Embarrassed, she quickly swallowed the fried dough stick in one gulp, filling her mouth.

"Cough—" Luo Wei choked.

Gentleman Mo Huai promptly moved over, gently patting her back and offering her soy milk to help.

After a moment, Luo Wei finally recovered. "It's nothing, just a very strange dream," she said, trying to calm her panic.

She subconsciously touched her swollen lips again. Seeing this, a smug smile curled at the corner of Mo Huai’s mouth.

“If it was about the kiss last night, it wasn’t a dream,” Mo Huai said slowly, his voice deep and rich.

Luo Wei was immediately stunned, her eyes widening in shock. “You…” She hesitated, struggling to find the right words.

Her face flushed hot, as if scorched by fire. Mo Huai observed her, his lips curling into a smile. He found her reaction irresistibly adorable.

Luo Wei lowered her head in embarrassment, unable to meet his gaze. It turned out that last night’s dream had been real. She had even taken the initiative to hug and kiss him. How could she face anyone now?
Although it wasn’t the first time, Luo Wei still felt shy. At that moment, Aunt Wang approached with millet porridge, saying, “Weiwei, be careful, it’s hot.”

Aunt Wang set the porridge down in front of Luo Wei and noticed her flushed face and lowered head. Confused, she glanced between Luo Wei and Mo Huai, wondering what was going on.

Panicking, Aunt Wang asked, “Weiwei, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

Luo Wei shook her head vigorously, unwilling to explain. Aunt Wang, concerned that Luo Wei might have been mistreated by Mo Huai, turned to him with a serious expression and asked, “Master, what happened to Madam?”

Mo Huai collected himself. It was just a kiss, yet it seemed to have caused this reaction from his wife. He realized Aunt Wang had misunderstood and attempted to clarify.

“Wang Ma, last night I kissed—”

“Stop, stop, stop!” Luo Wei interrupted urgently, mortified at the thought of the details being shared. She couldn’t bear the idea of discussing it, even with Aunt Wang, who was like family.

“What kiss?” Aunt Wang demanded, her gaze fixed sternly on Mo Huai.

“Oh, I’m not feeling well. I’ll go back to my room,” Luo Wei said quickly, escaping from the situation.

Aunt Wang, growing more anxious, raised her voice, “Madam, what’s wrong? Where do you feel uncomfortable? I’ll prepare some Chinese medicine for you right away.”

Aunt Wang's concerned voice followed Luo Wei as she hurried up to the second floor, not daring to look back. Aunt Wang glanced at Mo Huai, who remained composed and elegant, sipping his coffee as if nothing had happened.

Sighing, Aunt Wang rushed upstairs to check on Luo Wei and see if she needed to see a doctor.

Meanwhile, a smile flickered in Mo Huai's eyes. His presence exuded a regal air, as if he were a king, radiating an aura of undeniable nobility.

The Pet Shop
Su Yuxin was taking out the garbage when she noticed a commotion on the side of the road. A group of young, strong men were fighting, drawing a crowd of onlookers.

At the center of the brawl was a handsome young man, seemingly in his early twenties, who led the fray. He swung his fists with precision, each strike accompanied by a whistling sound, targeting his opponent's vital points with increasing force.

The red-haired young man, caught off guard, was quickly overwhelmed. He staggered, blood oozing from his face, before being knocked to the ground, barely conscious. The handsome young man had delivered a powerful blow, leaving his opponent struggling to breathe.
Su Yuxin shook her head, thinking about how these young people have no future if they don't study hard and are often involved in fights. She sneered at the boys who were fighting and took a few steps closer to get a better look.

The young man with handsome, well-defined features looked oddly familiar. After a few seconds of thought, she realized he was Chi Ye, Chi Yu's younger brother. Weiwei had told her about Chi Ye, recounting how he had protected Luo Wei when she was bullied as a child. Luo Wei and Chi Ye had a close relationship, even closer than that between Luo Wei and Chi Yu.

Chi Ye had knocked down five young men and was in a miserable state, clearly exhausted. A wound on his forehead still bled, and he knew that if he went home in this condition, he would surely be punished.

The last time his father made him write two self-criticisms, he had to work all night to finish them. He was reluctant to face another such ordeal. As he hesitated, contemplating whether to go to the hospital, a voice suddenly called out to him.
